Case and punctuation are ignored, the usual way to score speech recognition. “3” and “three” count as different words. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.

How it works

  1. Write or paste the sentence you meant to say in the left box.
  2. Dictate the same sentence in any app, then paste the result in the right box.
  3. WER is (wrong + missing + extra words) divided by the number of words you meant. Lower is better.

Questions people ask

What is a good word error rate?

Under 5% reads as nearly perfect. At 10% you fix about one word per sentence. Names, numbers and jargon are where most apps slip.

Why does “3” vs “three” count as an error?

WER compares words exactly. Most scoring normalizes numbers first. Write both boxes the same way if you only care about the words.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The comparison runs in your browser.
