Lazur for realtors
AI assistant for realtors on Mac: voice help with email, listings and showings
Lazur is an AI assistant for realtors on Mac. Hold a key, ask about what is on your screen, and it answers out loud and points at what you need. It drafts replies, dictates notes, sets reminders and runs research in Chrome. This guide covers where realtors' hours go, a realistic day, and what to check before client details go into any tool.

Hours run past the office
The NAR 2026 Member Profile puts the typical REALTOR at 35 hours a week in 2025. BLS adds that many agents work evenings and weekends, and some work more than 40 hours a week.
Paperwork keeps coming
Agents prepare closing statements, purchase agreements and leases, and they make sure purchase contract terms are met. Every file carries its own dates and documents.
Most are self-employed
BLS reports that 55% of brokers and 54% of sales agents are self-employed. When you run your own business, follow-ups, scheduling and filing tend to land on you first.
Email has no realtor benchmark
The only email hours figure in this research is 8.8 a week for the heaviest 25% of users in Microsoft's 2023 data. It covers commercial customers, not realtors.
Pay depends on closed deals
BLS puts median pay at $57,400 a year, with brokers at $73,220 and sales agents at $52,830. Admin time that does not move a deal is expensive.

Where a realtor's week goes, in hours
The best public number is hours, not tasks. The NAR 2026 Member Profile, covering 2025, puts the typical REALTOR at 35 hours a week, unchanged from the year before. Sales agents reported a median of 30 hours. Brokers and managers who also sell reported 40 to 45 hours. Those are medians, so your own week can run well above or below them.

Hours are not the same as tasks. The Bureau of Labor Statistics says most agents work full time, and some work more than 40 hours a week. It also says the work often includes evenings and weekends. If your week runs long, the extra hours most likely sit in those evenings and weekends.

Microsoft WorkLab: Will AI Fix Work? (2023 Work Trend Index)No public source ranks the tasks by time. No public survey measures how much time realtors spend on email, typing or admin work. This page does not use the widely repeated claim that agents spend most of their hours on non-revenue work, because the only source for it is a vendor blog. You can measure your own week. Write down each task and the minutes it takes for a few days.
Paperwork is the part of the job that never ends
The BLS describes the core paperwork plainly. Agents prepare documents such as closing statements, purchase agreements and leases. They also make sure the terms of purchase contracts are met. Each deal carries its own dates, signatures and files, and each one has someone waiting for an answer.
- Track contract dates from acceptance to closing, and write each one down the day it changes.
- Check closing statements against the terms in the purchase agreement before anyone signs.
- Keep leases and rental paperwork apart from sale files, so nothing gets mixed up.
- Save every version of a document, with the date in the file name.
Mistakes cost the most at handoff points. A date copied from the wrong file creates more trouble than a slow afternoon. Before you send a date or a dollar figure, open the source document and check it. That check takes less time than an apology call.

Why email and typing fill the gaps
Email is where a lot of the day lands, but the research has only a general benchmark. Microsoft's 2023 Work Trend Index found the heaviest 25% of email users spend 8.8 hours a week on email. Those figures come from Exchange activity at commercial customers. They are not a survey of realtors, so use them as a rough yardstick only.

What an AI assistant for realtors does on a Mac
Lazur lives in the notch at the top of your Mac screen. Hold ⌥ ⌘ to ask about anything on screen, and Lazur answers out loud. Ask where something is, and Lazur draws a circle and a label around it. Hold fn to dictate clean, formatted text at the cursor in any app.
You still do the clicking. When you ask how to do something, Lazur guides you one click at a time and waits for each click. You stay in control of every file and every send button. Lazur is not a plugin or add-in for any app, so it does not sit inside your CRM or your MLS tools.
| Task | What you say to Lazur | Capability |
|---|---|---|
| Find a field | Where is the closing date on this form? | point |
| Understand a clause | What does this inspection clause mean for the buyer? | explain |
| Answer a lender | Draft a reply that confirms the appraisal date. | draft |
| Log a call | Dictate a note about the seller's price question. | dictate |
| Check nearby sales | Research recent sales on Elm Street and summarize them. | research |
| Keep the schedule | Remind me to call the title company before noon. | everyday |
Limits to know before you start
- It does not send email for you. You press send yourself.
- It does not file documents or edit files in your CRM.
- It listens and looks only while you hold the shortcut.
- It does not give legal advice. It explains the words on screen, and your broker or attorney decides what they mean for your deal.
- It does not run on Windows yet. Windows is planned, not available.
Those limits are the point. You keep control of every send, file and signature. Lazur handles the reading, the wording and the look-up.
A worked example: a lender asks for a signed addendum
Say a lender emails and asks for a signed addendum before a deadline. The email is open in Apple Mail. Hold ⌥ ⌘ and ask, 'Where is the deadline in this email?' Lazur circles the date and says it out loud. You do not have to search the thread.
Next, hold fn and dictate the reply in your own words. Say the names, the address and the date the way you would say them to a colleague. Then ask Lazur to draft a shorter version. Read the draft against the email before you send it. Check the names, the dates and the attachment. Lazur writes the text. You decide what leaves your Mac.
Edge cases and mistakes that waste time
- Dictating into the wrong window. Click into the field you want first, then hold fn.
- Trusting a dollar figure or a date without opening the contract.
- Assuming the shortcut records in the background. It listens and looks only while you hold ⌥ ⌘ or fn.
- Asking for click paths in an app you use every day. Ask Lazur to point, then move faster on your own.
- Using a summary of a long email thread as the full record. Open the thread when the detail matters.
Mail's built-in Writing Tools, such as summarize, proofread and rewrite, need Apple Intelligence. Availability varies by language and region, so a setup that works in one language may not work in another. Test it before you plan a busy week around it.
Email apps on Mac: Apple Mail, Outlook and Gmail
Apple Mail sorts incoming mail into Primary, Transactions, Updates and Promotions. Lender and title notices may land in Transactions, so that tab is worth a look each morning. Apple's Mail User Guide covers search, signatures and editing, and it is labeled for macOS 27.
Outlook for Mac 16.114 shipped October 14, 2026. It added a setting to show supported Microsoft 365 apps in the left rail, and it fixed a Gmail snooze shortcut. Quality builds 16.114.1, 16.114.2 and 16.114.3 followed later that month. If Outlook is your main client inbox, update first, then read the release notes for changes that touch your workflow.
If Gmail is your main inbox, see AI assistant for Gmail on Mac for how voice replies work there.
Client data, brokerage rules and privacy
Your brokerage and local rules set limits on client information. Before you paste a client's name, a contract or a loan detail into any AI tool, ask your broker whether it is allowed. Follow that answer, even when a tool seems harmless. This page does not claim that Lazur meets any industry or regulatory standard for client records.
Here is how Lazur handles data, as the product describes it. It listens and looks at the screen only while you hold the shortcut. Audio and the screenshot go to AI providers to answer your question, and they are not stored. Content is never used to train AI models. Memory of what you asked and did is kept on the Mac.
Your first week with Lazur
- Download Lazur from the download page and open it on your Mac.
- Follow the setup steps the app shows you before you try a real file.
- Ask one question about a public listing page, such as where the price appears.
- Hold fn in a blank note and dictate a short task list.
- Set one reminder for your next follow-up in Apple Reminders.
- Once the trial is running, compare plans on the pricing page.
The trial starts when you first open the app, and it needs no credit card. Use the first week to test the small jobs. Save the big files for later, after you know how the tool behaves on your screen.
Where this helps most, and where it does not
The biggest help comes on small, repeated jobs: finding a field, writing a first draft, dictating a note and setting a reminder. It helps less with pricing, negotiation or any clause that changes a deal. Start with the small jobs, and keep the big decisions with you and your broker.
The apps realtors use it in
Questions people ask
Is Lazur built only for realtors?
No. Lazur is a voice assistant for the Mac that works in any app. Realtors use it for email, sheets, browser research and reminders, but it is not a plugin for real estate software.
Does Lazur connect to my CRM or MLS?
Lazur is not a plugin or add-in for any app, and it has no partnerships with app makers. It does not sit inside your CRM. You can ask where a field is, draft text to paste in, or dictate notes at the cursor.
Can I use it with a client file?
Use it on public pages and your own drafts first. For client files, check your brokerage rules before you start. Lazur listens and looks only while you hold the shortcut, and audio and screenshots go to AI providers to answer, not to be stored.
Will it explain a contract clause?
It can explain the words on screen in plain language. It does not give legal advice. Your broker or attorney decides what a clause means for your deal, and you should confirm before you act on it.
Does it send emails for me?
No. Lazur drafts text and dictates it at your cursor. You read the result and press send yourself. It does not operate Apple Mail, Outlook or Gmail for you.
Does Lazur work on Windows?
Not yet. Lazur runs on macOS, on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Windows is planned, not available.
What does the trial cost?
The trial needs no credit card and starts when you first open the app. Check the pricing page for current plan prices and what each plan includes.
Do I need Apple Intelligence for this?
Apple's Writing Tools in Mail, such as summarize, proofread and rewrite, need Apple Intelligence. Availability varies by language and region, so test them before you rely on them. Lazur is a separate tool.
How do I start without risking client data?
Start with public listing pages, your own drafts, and notes that contain no client names. Add client files only after your broker says it is allowed.
